As some of you may know, we will begin charging a fee of $20.00 per year ($30.00 for married couples) in order to be a member of H.A.Z.A.R.D. Like many other homebrew clubs around the country, we have decided to increase the presence of our group and begin providing our members with more opportunities to learn, brew, and drink some of the best beer around. As a result, our small fee will go towards providing more events, education, ingredient orders, and competitions to all of you. We will begin our formal membership process at the next meeting (Sunday, February 10th) and it will run through to the next meeting in March (Sunday the 10th). Payments will be accepted in the form of cash, check, and PayPal (for those members who prefer the ease of digital transactions). For those who wish to pay by cash or check, I will have a membership form available during the February meeting. For those who wish to pay through PayPal, you may do so between now and March 10th. Please use the following directions:
1. Visit PayPal and login
2. Select “Send Money” tab
3. In the recipient box use firstname.lastname@example.org
4. Amount for $20.00 or $30.00
5. Select Personal – Other (This is very important as it will remove the fee associated with sending money. However a small fee of 2.9% of the total amount plus $0.30 per transaction will be added to the total if you use a credit card instead of a linked bank account. So please use your linked bank account if possible!)
6. On the next page insert your Name, Address, Phone Number, and Email in the message box so I can add the information to our membership log.
7. Click Send Money
